Into The Sharpened Talons

~Chapter 1~

~First Flight~


Stryke was a black barn owl with very sharp talons and the best eyesight ever and huge wings. Rage, his brother, laughed at him about this. "Look at Mr. Sharpie Claws!" He laughed. Stryke LOATHED it. Rage was his enemy.
One summer day, Stryke was having his flying test. He looked at a branch with his keen eyes. His talons dug into the branch he was perching in. "Go, Sharpie!" Shouted Rage. "Rage, don't be rude!" Said his mother as she looked at him. Stryke lifted off the branch, flapped, and landed.
"Yes!" He cried. "Well, Stryke, with wings that size, you can glide like a vulture!" Laughed Rage. Stryke gasped. Vultures were known by owls, as the worst bird ever. Stryke sister, Wind, glared at Rage.
That night, his mother and father went hunting. "We'll come back soon!" They called, silently flapping into the moon lit night.
